Industrial Instrument Mechanic (Red Seal Millwright)

Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Industrial Instrument Mechanic Trade Certification, Red Seal Certificate - Industrial Instrument Mechanics
Experience: 5 years or more
Type of Service and Repair: Pneumatic and electro-pneumatic sequential control systems, Hydraulic and electro-hydraulic sequential control systems, Electrical control systems, Electronic process instrumentation, Pneumatic process instrumentation, In-line process analyzers, Computerized instrumentation systems, Primary control element and sensors maintenance and application, Final control element maintenance and application, Programmable logic controllers (PLC), Signal conditioners, Temperature, pressure, flow and level instruments, Vibration sensing systems
Type of Instrument Experience: Pneumatic, Hydraulic, Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical
Type of Industry Experience: Industrial instruments servicing, Mining and smelting, Manufacturing
Specific Skills: Inspect and test operation of instruments and systems, Repair and adjust system components, Remove and replace defective parts, Install new control instruments, Calibrate components and instruments, Determine testing and maintenance procedures, Install new measuring instruments
Additional Skills: Read blueprints, Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work, Complete test and maintenance reports, Read circuit diagrams, Logical approach for troubleshooting
Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check
