Hotel Debtors Clerk, Other, Cape Winelands. 4* deluxe hotel in the Boland area seeks a strong Debtors, Clerk to process and manage payments received and to provide related accounting support.

Key performance areas include: Assist with quarterly, bi-yearly, and yearly inventory of operating equipment. Assist with the Daily Banking. Billing and sending of the Shop Rentals invoices on Opera. Billing of the monthly rentals of Apartments on Opera. Compile Month End Report for Debtors. Creating of the Debtors accounts on Opera system. Creating the Debtor's accounts on the Sage system. Daily processing of all payments received into the bank account on Opera. Filling and any other reasonable finance duties.

Following up on all outstanding debtor payments, conferences, and Travel Agents. Following up on deposits payable for Conference along with the Conference Manager. Handling of all the Debtors Queries and solving the queries as soon as possible. Importing and balancing of the daily revenue from Opera into Sage. Journalize Debtors entries from GL control account in Sage to the Debtor’s Account in Sage. Process of the Debtors Credit Applications to the point to be authorized by the Financial Controller. Requesting of the commission invoices when commissions are deducted from the payment.

Sending & Receiving of Debtors Applications. The recon of debtors Analysis on a weekly basis. To compile and check all dockets needed for a conference account with the Front Office Manager / Supervisor and complete the account to be handed over to the Conference Manager. Only candidates with stable employment track records, solid experience in 4-5* hotels, and favorable references from previous employers will be shortlisted.

Only South African Citizens or candidates with a valid South African Permanent Residence Permit will be considered. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 08h00 to 17h00, but may vary due to operational demands. Market-related salary commensurate with qualifications and professional experience.
