Maintenance and Facilities Supervisor Reporting: Report to CEO / MD regarding everyday schedules. Meetings must be held weekly between the CEO, Finance, and the MD.
GARDENS: Take care of garden beds, grass, weeds, the shape of beds, hedges, etc. Garden schedules regarding garden groundsman. Bi-annual compost distribution in gardens, garden beds, grass, etc.
TREES: Pruning / Maintenance of trees. Spray schedules, etc.
ROSES: Spraying/ maintaining of roses. 1 Annual pruning schedule. Bi-annual feeding.
IRRIGATION: Service and maintenance of current irrigation system. Service and maintenance of current pumps, filters, etc.
GROUNDS MAN: Oversee grounds man and their schedules.
Transportation of grounds man (when needed).
Oversee the neatness and ordering of uniforms.
Overview of leave, sick days, etc. report to finance dept.
ROADS: Spraying and cleaning of roads.
Oversee & maintain roads, paving & curbs. Farm Equipment, Etc.
Maintenance and cleanliness of all farm implements & vehicles on the farm.
Oversee annual services. Oversee logbooks.
VINEYARDS: Maintenance, implementation and overseeing of vineyards; pruning, spraying schedules.
SIGNAGE, ETC.: All outdoor signage/ lighting must be maintained and kept clean.
POOLS: Maintenance of all swimming pools on the farm.
GUTTERS ETC. Gutters and roofing sheets of all buildings must be cleaned weekly and kept maintained.
The Ideal candidate: Must have at least a minimum of 5 to 10 years’ experience.Is fully computer literate (Microsoft Outlook, Office, etc.). Have his/ her own transport. Must be able to drive farm vehicles and tractors. Have a valid RSA drivers Licence.Have a valid work permit (if not South African). Ideally lives close to the premisses. Be on standby 24/7.Is not a “clock watcher”. Must be able to work closely with their department and must be hands-on. Have adequate communication skills. Have adequate managerial skills. Have adequate mechanic, electric, and plumbing skills. Have a clean track record with valid references. Must be able to work over public/ festive holidays. Take annual leave during the months of June, July, August.
