We are currently looking for an energetic, and dynamic candidate for a DTP and Laser Machine Controller position. Our office is based in a very secure buiess estate (Cosmo business park) close to Northriding.

The following is a must: Accuracy/ Attention to detail. Previous experience. Punctual and organised. Very good computer skills – to work on our internal programs. Able to handle stress - It is a deadline driven position.

Responsibilities: Order supplies with the production manager for the engraving/DTP department. Engrave and cut all jobs for the company.Print all DTP jobs for the company. Work on constantly improving the engraving and DTP section at the company. Work on new products for the company like the keyrings, boxes, coasters etc. Update systems for engraving and DTP orders. Providing lead times for engraving and DTP orders for sales Send CS if replacement stock needs to be ordered.

Communicate with all sales staff on new orders for Laser engraving and DTP department. Manage + Maintain a high-level of overall quality. Constant personal relationship building with clients, management, and production staff. Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by learning all aspects of these departments. Cleaning and alignment of the laser engraving machine. Cleaning and maintaining of the DTP Printer. Fixing artwork and converting to laser ready. Fixing artwork to be print ready for the UV Printer. Order ink and supplies for the UV Printer. Ordering and managing MDF wood stock. Ensure that the wooden products are built and cleaned the correct way. Create production schedules for the UV and laser Printers.

Assist in Digital Production (when staff member is sick or on leave): Daily print schedules with Layout Artist, Print Pozi and jobcards. Create production schedules and assign print jobs to ensure print deadlines are met. Manage and update daily production schedule. Mimaki and iColour 540 printer printing jobs and maintenance (booking of services etc. if need be) for the printers in the digital department.
