Roller Shutter, Garage Door Installers wanted, Kuils River, Northern Suburbs, Company Name: M Bond Engineering. Roller shutter door Installer (Urgent Fixed Term Contract – Renewable*).

M Bond Engineering need an experienced roller shutter door installer for a 1 Month Fixed Term Contract live-out position who has a Good Attitude and Real Willingness to work hard and long hours.

This contract is renewable – however this is based 100% on performance, and is only considered renewable, at the sole discretion of the Employer.

The salary is negotiable, based on your experience and age, with an additional live Out / site Allowance to broadly cover food and overtime expenses. You will be provided with accommodation Mon-Fri on site.

The successful candidate will need to report for work at the M Bond Engineering offices in Saxenburg Park 2, Blackheath Cape Town on Monday mornings 6:30am. The site team will return to M Bond Engineering on Friday’s by 19:00pm – 20:00pm.

The project sites will be in Malmesbury and other locations in the West Coast District Municipality Region, as far north as Vredendal, Monday to Friday.

The successful candidate must be physically and mentally fit and have proven experience in installing overhead sectional doors, roller shutter doors or garage doors.

You will be required to work at heights on a scaffold at +-4 to 5m above the ground most of the time.

Door Installer Duties and Responsibilities: Follow instructions and work as a Team. Repair or install new roller shutter doors (4m x 4m). Repair or install new overhead sectional doors (4m x 4m). Install new springs, rollers, shafts, slats, drives, and cables etc. Follow checklists and protocols while conducting repairs completing roller shutter doors reports. Clean and maintain tools and equipment. You need to be experienced in masonry and steel drilling, using hand tools, cutting and grinding, welding etc. Follow all health and safety rules and guidelines for working at heights, as well as common-sense safety practices at M Bond Engineering.

Roller shutter door technician Requirements and Qualifications: High school Technical Matric Certificate or better. Proven technical knowledge of roller shutter or overhead sectional doors. Properly trained and experienced with common technician’s tools, service, and diagnostic equipment. Ability to work in uncomfortable, physically demanding positions, stand on your feet for hours, and lift heavy items as needed. Honest, reliable and hard working.

Additional: You will be site based. You will need a Code 08 drivers’ licence, valid in 2022. You will work overtime. Please don’t apply if you have a criminal record, the Employer will check this. You will need to supply proof of previous earnings. You will need to give us contactable references.
