Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Electrician Trade Certification
Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English

Area of Specialization: Emergency power systems, Fire alarm systems, Lighting systems, Heating/cooling and heat tracing systems

Specific Skills: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications, Install underground wiring and cables, Install, replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes, Splice, join and connect wires, Troubleshoot and isolate faults, Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures
Additional Skills: Professionalism in customer service, Determine appropriate selection of materials and methods for hazardous locations, Instruct apprentices, Supervise other workers
