A reputable workshop based in Alberton is currently looking for an experienced and qualified Automotive Technician to join their team. The perfect candidate for this position must have at least 4 years of experience as a technician and must have previous experience in different brands- servicing and repairs.

Requirements: Matric Certification. Must have at least 4 years of experience as an auto technician. Qualification is suitable for trade. A valid driver’s license. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information. Knowledge of all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance. A fast learner. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent Customer Service Skills. Team Player. Able to maintain working space in an orderly and clean manner energetic

Responsibilities: Engine rebuilding/ replacing. Performing work specified on the repair order with efficiency and by automotive standards. Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.

Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc. Communicating directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs. Executing repairs to manufacturer specifications. Perform emissions inspections, safety checks, and similar Bosch-regulated vehicle examinations.

Maintain a clean, safe working environment. Produce legible and accurate paperwork reflecting work performed. Possess a valid state driver’s license for conducting test drives.

Skills: Ability to identify problems quickly, Good knowledge of a wide range of vehicles, both diesel and petrol, Effective analytical and communication skills, Good reading, computer, and mathematics skills.

Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications. Should be able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment. Automotive Technician skills and qualifications. Trade Certificate. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Analytical skills. Experience using hand and power tools to replace and repair parts Coordination.
