Fresh Foods Manager, Other, Durban City. Company Name: Hypercheck. The HYPERCHECK Group has an exciting opportunity for a FRESH FOODS MANAGER for their retail stores in Montford and Parlock.

The Fresh Foods Manager is responsible for the management and achieving of the goals of all fresh foods departments, which includes the following functions: 1. Checking human resources and scheduling; 2. Reviewing staff compliance with the Personal Protective Clothing, Health and safety, and uniform policies. 3. Implementing and monitoring checklists for compliance with the personal hygiene policy; 4. Enforcing and monitoring best housekeeping practices; 5. Championing quality and cold chain management; 6. Showing communication leadership and thus allowing the store management and fresh foods departments to function smoothly; 7. Taking ownership of the facilities reporting process in the store and monitoring this process; 8. Being aware of changing labeling regulations and ensuring all departments stay abreast of these requirements. 9. Planning and executing innovative sales and merchandising techniques, ensuring shelves are correctly stocked at all times; 10. Checking the replenishment process for all departments daily; 11. Working with receiving to make sure perishable foods are received as efficiently and effectively as possible; 12. Ensuring all production is planned according to the production and costing policy; 13. Reviewing wastage before capturing and proactively managing the wastage in the departments; 14. Checking that storage of fresh products is as per the policy, daily; 15. Planning and taking ownership of Stock Takes and stock management; 16.  Championing Profitability and Reporting, and Leading Marketing and Promotions in the fresh departments at the store level.

Qualifications, Competency & Experience: 1. National Senior Certificate. 2. NQF Level 4 in management.

Experience: 1. 4 years experience in a similar position in retail. 2. 4 years experience in supervising and managing staff.
