Description: A well-established Franchise restaurant in Witbank (Mpumalanga) is looking for a Junior Accountant/Restaurant Stock Controller.

Key Outputs: Solid knowledge of stock control systems in a hospitality industry. Ensure target Food Cost is maintained at all times. Initiate the ordering of replacement stock before minimum stock levels have been reached. Continuously improve processes to increase stores efficiency and reduce costs. Update the Micros stock control lists. Detailed Inventory control. Trouble shooting inventory discrepancies. Cash management controls. Comprehensive Stock controls from receiving, processing & portioning and balancing against Micros POS sales reports.

Investigating and reporting on all variances, ensuring all security measures are being followed. Review P&Ls monthly with management and document Action Plans in order to improve financial performance. Work with POS and ensure all Cash and Stock Systems are balancing on a daily basis. Communicates clearly, concisely and accurately to ensure effective restaurant operations.

Requirements: Accounting Qualifications – Compulsory. Previous hospitality experience – advantageous. Stock management – advantageous. Excellent computer skills. Excellent communication skills. Ability to cope well under pressure. Must be flexible to work late hours, weekends and Public holidays when required. Own transport. English speaking. A keen understanding of KPIs, food cost, budgets and Profit and Loss reports. Ability to scrutinise stock management checks. MUST be Computer literate. MS Office suite.
