Ensure that the employee knows and understands the complete scope of work that must be carried out and the authority he/she has to conduct such work.

Responsibilities/ Duties: Make sure correct molds are put correctly into the machines. Ensure that the water, ejector, and locating rings are connected correctly. Ensure mold surfaces are clean and free of plastic. Must be able to set up injection molding machines without a setup chart. Knowledge of engineering polymers with molds with an air blast and core pulling make sure products are set according to the master sample. Make sure job cards are read to establish the requirements of running the product efficiently and the information is complete and correct

The company only allows a 3 percent scrap rate on material usage, this needs to be maintained or improved by the setter. The setter must approve and sign off each job that is set and create a "Process Control Sheet" per product/machine. The setter must ensure lubrication is working on the machine. The setter must ensure no safety switches are by-passed or illegally tampered with Setter must watch and remove blowback of the material. Failure to do so could cause damage to heating elements and could result in consequences. The setter must ensure that he keeps his toolbox safe and should any tools be lost or misplaced there could be consequences. Customer satisfaction.

People skills/ Leadership Qualities: Authority

Authority to liaise with: Quality on product quality issues. Authorized to sign off production samples. Authorized to stop production lines when defective products are being manufactured. Authorized to give operators instructions and training. Hours: 6 am to 6 pm. Days: Monday to Friday maybe on weekends.

Salary R60 to R80 per hour
