PABX Field Service Engineer, Paarl, Cape Winelands. Company situated in Paar is urgently looking for a PABX Field Service Engineer

Purpose of the position: Technical support and regular maintenance of all IT products in the field.

Requirements: Grade 12 / Matric. Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite of product. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. 2+ years Installation and Maintenance of PBX, routers, switches, access points and cabling.

Flexible with new Software and Hardware. Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license. Must be able to work within the framework of deadlines and be able to complete tasks within the time constraints. Must be willing to travel, work overtime if required and attend training over weekends. Well dressed and presentable. Good communication and writing skills. Customer focused.

Duties and Responsibilities: Fully install, program, lay cabling, (if required) of new PABX systems, VOIP systems, ECN products as well as MAN3000 systems. Repair and service of these products. Installation and Maintenance on network components- PBX, routers, switches, access points and cabling. Troubleshooting, Diagnosing, and Resolving Hardware and software system problems

Provide quality support service on site (client facing) and remotely. To follow the correct procedures when receiving a service call, and the completion thereof. Take responsibility and accountability for all stock issued to you in your day-to-day job functions. Keep the Technical Manager informed on problems relating to your job and maintain an awareness of the customer’s needs and requirements.

Must be open, and willing, to be cross trained over all technical lines of business to promote better productivity and to provide assistance Salary based on exp.
