The successful applicant will be responsible for but not limited to the Management and growth of the Project Logistics Team. Development of Cross Border and Project Logistics business and maintaining existing relationships. Building and maintaining strong and sustainable customer relationships to ensure exposure and increased sales. Financial Management and Administration of new business. Proactively provide smart client research and industry-specific information. Overseeing, maintaining, and improving processing systems and ensuring quality compliance to internal ISO systems. Monitoring company performance against service level agreements.

Ensuring processes and procedures comply with legislation, customer requirements, as well as operational demands. Motivating and coaching staff, encouraging team building, and increasing staff morale. Training and development of the commercial team. Effectively controlling and reporting on expenditure. Developing and providing annual budget recommendations for the company business unit.

Qualification: B Com Degree in Commerce or Business Management. Post Graduate Qualification in Logistics. A Bachelor of Law or LLB will be advantageous, CA Degree.

Experience 10 Years or more in Cross Border Logistics, Project Logistics and Heavy Lift, International Shipping, Customs Clearing, Supply chain Management, Commercial, sales, and marketing.

5 Years or more in: Senior Management Experience. Leading teams within Africa. Coordinating and managing global logistics projects. Working in a cross-functional team. Contract Law and International Shipping and Logistics Legal experience. Project Chartering and Fixtures experience will be advantageous. Data Analysis and Reporting. SHEQ/Risk Management.

Required skills: Ability to identify opportunities. Excellent and effective communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure. Able to interact with staff and clients at all levels. Ability to create and monitor effective business development strategies for the company. Able to set and achieve annual revenue targets. Strong business acumen.

Able to deal effectively with customer demands from an operational perspective. Strong overall personnel management, delegation, and training skills of the logistics team in Africa. Strong problem-solving ability and identification of departmental needs and potential threats. Must be available to travel out of the country (Africa) at least Once a month Knowledge of systems and processes involved in logistics.

Sub-contractor or management and tender management. Contracting and legal principles and compliance In-depth knowledge in logistics elements for complex and high-value projects. financial acumen, Sales, and Marketing experience. Relevant Marketing and service design knowledge. Supply Chain Management. Strategic Team Leadership. Analytical Problem-solving. Must be fully vaccinated and possess a Passport.
