Requirements: Minimum National Diploma/Degree in Accounting/Financial Management or equivalent qualification. Minimum of Five (5) years' experience in a financial management environment or related field. Comprehensive experience in Quick Books with experience in Pastel highly advantageous. Experience in the College environment, Private or Public Sector advantageous.

Knowledge of financial functions and practices related to Debtors and Creditors. Knowledge of the Financial Legislation and procedures. Knowledge of basic financial operating systems. Bilingual (English and isiXhosa or Afrikaans). Computer Literate. (MS Office: Word, Excel, etc).

Key Performance Areas: Provide support in the administration of all revenue. Provide support in the administration of Debtors. Ensure that all deposits are reconciled on a daily basis. Ensure that the banking of monies is done in accordance with the prescribed processes. Verify the validity and allocation of payments received via electronic transfer. Allocate payments received via electronic transfer to the relevant student account. Responsible for monthly reconciliations of all Student accounts and ensure that all transactions have been recorded in the correct General Ledger Account (GLA).

Follow up and investigate unallocated deposits. Investigate income misallocation and processing of journals. Recommend all Student Refunds for payment. Responsible for monthly income and debtors' reports. Perform month end closure of general ledger accounts. Create and send monthly statements to debtors and follow up on payment dates. Liaise with debt collectors on debt handed over. Monitor Age analysis of debtors as well as enquiries and disputes.
