Long Haul Truck Driver
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, On Call, Shift, Weekend, Day, Night, Evening
Salary: $21.40 Hourly for 40 hours per week, As per collective agreement, Medical Benefits, Disability Benefits
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
Experience: 5 years or more
Type of Trucking and Equipment: Tractor-trailer, Extended length tractor-trailer combination, Liquid bulk, Logging, highway, Dump
Type of Travel: Long-haul, Local, Regional, National, International
Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)
Communication Equipment Experience: Trip recorder (on-board computer), Citizens band (CB) radio, Cellular phone, Satellite tracking (GPS) equipment
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo, Plan travel schedules and routes, Use atlases and other trip planning aids, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Transport hazardous products or dangerous goods, Perform brake adjustments, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness, Perform preventive maintenance, Perform emergency roadside repairs
Additional Skills: Mountain driving expertise, Professionalism in customer service
