Tile Setter
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Weekend, Day
Salary: $25.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week, Dental Benefits, Disability Benefits, Group Insurance Benefits

Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school, Some college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not applicable, Not required
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Major Work Area: Construction, Repair, Specialty design work
Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience: Commercial, Residential
Area of Specialization: General tilesetting (floors, walls, ceilings, etc.)
Specific Skills: Prepare, measure and mark surfaces to be covered, Mix, apply and spread adhesive substances, Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to base, Align and straighten tiles, Cut and fit tiles around obstacles, Pack grout into joints and between tiles, Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, Determine best layout of tiles, Reinforce surfaces or build required underbases, Install terrazzo surfaces and polish surfaces by hand or using machines
