Guesthouse Manager, East London, Eastern Cape. Company Name: Nahoon Eco Lodge. Full Time Manager.

We are a 3* Guesthouse in East London looking for a well-presented and energetic person, with a good attitude, to join our team. The ideal candidate will have to be a committed team player with a passion for the hospitality industry as well as have a good eye for detail. Must be able to delegate and check up on staff.

You will be responsible for assisting with the day to day running of the guest house, breakfast and other meal requests, management of the housekeeping team and small maintenance jobs. Must be able to continue the level of service with other management not on site.

Skills / Requirements: Exceptional Interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work as a team and to supervise staff. Be able to work independently. Report back and work closely with Owners, Guest relations. Must have own transport. Be reliable and dependable. Must be able to work shifts, weekends & public holidays. Need to see that property is clean and well kept all the time. Nightsbridge knowledge.

Knowledge of Excel to be able to populate the monthly reports. Be able to do marketing, especially on Facebook and Instagram. Know to respond quickly to any messages or inquiries. Previous experience in a similar role is required. Proficiency in the kitchen will be advantageous. Must be available to come for a few days in the last week of October for handover and start immediately on the 1st of November 2022

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Breakfast Preparation & Service. Lunch and Dinner preparation when needed. General Administration. Managing Arrivals & Departures. Preparing Daily Schedules. Reservations for accommodation. Stock Control. Managing and checking of Housekeeping. Guest Relations. Assisting with small maintenance jobs. We will provide accommodation on site with WIFI.

We will discuss Salary as a fixed rate with a commission-based incentive. This will be discussed further at the interview stage.
