Maintenance Electrician (Permanent), Despatch, Eastern Cape. Company Name: Profile Personnel.

The key job outputs of the function include, but are not limited to: Carry out machine repairs according to job cards/instructions. Ensure equipment operational and safe to operate on conclusion of repair. Conduct daily operational checks on all equipment. Carry out daily inspections on machines/equipment – according to check sheets. Identify possible improvements to machinery/equipment during such inspections. Document and action. Carry out actions required on Continuous Improvement activities in order to meet timing per action plans.

Complete PM’s and ensure data is captured accurately and timeously in the Maintenance Management System (CMMS – FIIX). Conduct shift handover to personnel on next shift (concerning current machine status, problems etc.) Complete all associated documentation e.g., timesheets and toolbox checks. Assist with other maintenance duties within area of competence as electrical assistant. Perform any other reasonable duties assigned.

Essential competencies (knowledge/skill) required to perform outputs: Essential is your completed trade-test as an Electrician. Essential is the applicants experience in a similar position. +- 5yrs. Working knowledge of Mitsubishi PLC’s. A good understanding of installation rules, regulations and machine safety systems. Highly advantageous is the ability to operate and monitor press machines and have a full understanding of production process (stages, quality indicators, scrap etc.).

Essential is the ability to problem solve out of specification results with regards to job requirements – effect on production machinery and end/manufactured product and identify corrective actions. Essential is a knowledge of press materials (steel). Good communication skills (English) – both verbal (conversational) and written (basic admin).
