My client that has a bustling 280 seater restaurant in Stellenbosch, is looking for a Kitchen Manager, someone to essentially manager and lead the staff to make things happen BOH. You must be excellent at running a busy pass, and must thrive in working in a super high pressure environment. You need to come from a high pressure busy, and large restaurant where you led the kitchen. We are not looking for a head chef but rather a kitchen manager.
You need to live within 18km of Stellenbosch or you will not be considered. If you do not hear back within 4 days, you have not been shortlisted. Full ref and crim checks will be done. R13k-R15000 pm.
Responsibility: Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food orders. Supervise food prep and cooking. Check food plating and temperature. Establish portion sizes. Schedule kitchen staff shifts. Order food supplies and kitchen equipment, as needed. Train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques. Store food products in compliance with safety practices (e.g. in refrigerators). Keep weekly and monthly cost reports. Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area.
