Duties: Monitoring the movements over various checkpoints by informing/escalating problems to: Maintenance and/or Shift Leader and/or Management based on the severity of the problem; fixing misreads at the various checkpoints.

Monitoring the WIP / Buffer situation of all production areas by informing relevant production personnel/maintenance personnel / Pearl Chain Controller of any deviation to the set tolerances in order for the WIP Controller to give guidance in this regard.

Monitoring, informing, and escalating problems with JIT supplier broadcast signals by monitoring the FIS-JIT system and escalating the problems to the FIS standby to make sure the suppliers receive the assembly sequence.

Advising and assisting Logistics suppliers with regards to system failure by arranging the production report and issue out the build information to JIT suppliers by faxing, phoning and E-mail to ensure the build information is received in time to prevent line stoppages. During system failure reprints are done for the relevant areas in production by using either the sequence or ken numbers through the FHLEIT FIS System in order to avoid line stoppages.

Simulating checkpoint movements manually when the need arises by giving a car a checkpoint movement using FHLEIT FIS System to make sure cars have the correct checkpoint movements. Correcting sequence problems by continuously checking the checkpoint movement and communicate the corrections with the suppliers and service providers to make sure the right parts are sent to the line.

Log all problems that occurred during the shift and forward to the relevant managers by documenting them on the log file and send it daily to the relevant parties to update them on line stoppages. Monitoring green skid and flow to production in order to prevent blockages by informing Body Shop to remove skids if required to prevent Assembly from blocking. Contact relevant personnel if any problems are noticed.

Monitoring the amount of units in the A600 Spool by using the Visu system. Escalate to Vehicle Planner if this is going down to make sure that Body shop do not run out of tags.

Monitoring all production printers / spools and advising relevant personnel if any problem is noticed. Lock / unlock printers. This is done by using the Sysmon system to check when the printers are active or not. This is to make sure that the build information do get to Assembly Operators on time.

Updating the working hours on the dchedule management Portal weekly or when there are changes to the working hours. The correct planned working hours needs to be inserted on the system to make sure the OPR calculation is correct.

Informing suppliers of any line closures by sending them an official mail to give them a chance to make decisions about their operation.
