Our Retail Fmcg, importer and distributor client in Epping Cape Town is looking for a well experienced Cost Accountant with 3-5 years solid experience. You will be solely responsible for Budgeting, costing, procurement, purchasing, and inventory and stock management.
You Must be an Excel Advanced. Salary UP TO R 660 000 + 13th bonus (performance based) highly Negotiable.
Requirements: Relevant Degree/Diploma in accounting/costing or finance qualification an advantage. A professional qualification such as CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) or ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) will be advantageous but not a must. Must have At least 3-5 years’ cost accounting experience in a FMCG, Retail, Products, Imports, Distribution, Supply Chain, and or warehouse Industry experience. NON NEGOTIABLE Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills & attention to detail – NON NEGOTIABLE Proficient in Microsoft Office Highly proficient on MS Excel (data analysis and interpretation)
Main Responsibilities: Analysing and optimizing all company costs, with particular emphasis on inventory management and procurement. Maintaining a well-functioning ERP system, and extraction and creation of all company reports, Compiling annual budgets and forecasts. Budgeting & Compile half yearly forecasts for the company in conjunction with the Finance & Ops Director and departmental managers. Cost Analysts – Analyse and monitor the company’s cost structure to identify areas of improvement and ensure cost-effectiveness. Identify cost-saving opportunities and make recommendations to Directors and departmental managers.
Work with the sales and marketing teams to develop pricing strategies. Procurement - Prepare and update annual purchase forecast monthly, indicating values by month. Reporting – Sales & marketing reports, Stock reports, Financial reports, Sales commission & incentive reports.
