Forensic Investigator, Fraud Examiner and Forensic Auditor, Sandton, Johannesburg.

Role Summary: The Forensic Investigator, Fraud Examiner and Forensic Auditor will assist in the resolution of fraud cases by gathering evidence, recording statements, writing and producing reports, and presenting on findings.

Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct in-depth investigations of evidence and allegations. Examine suspicious activity such as fraud or money laundering. Interview and record statements of witnesses and suspects. Document all investigative activities and prepares reports of findings. Collaborate and coordinate with law enforcement officers and attorneys. Prepare court evidence for presentation. Testify in hearings and court concerning the findings of investigations. Maintain records, databases, logs and documentation. Coordinate fraud detection and prevention activities and training. Provide advice on methods and best practices.

Required Skills and Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Thorough understanding of laws related to fraud. Basic understanding of human behaviour and performance. Ability to identify discrepancies and problems. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite – Advanced MS Excel. Ability to use fraud analysis related software.

Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) credential or equivalent preferred. Minimum 3 years’ experience in forensic audit and investigation.
