Job Description
Selkirk College’s School of Industry and Trades Training requires temporary, on-call and relief Toolroom Attendants for their Trades Programs Toolrooms.  Successful applicants will be required to provide operation and maintenance services for the Trades Toolrooms.
Applicants require high school graduation, valid Occupational First Aid Level 3 certification (a first aid stipend will be paid for a valid OFA 3), WHMIS, valid BC Drivers License and two years related experience.  Applicants must have good computer skills and knowledge using Word, email and internet.  Knowledge of procedures in purchasing and receiving materials, tools, equipment, supplies and processes used in the Millwright/Machinist; General Mechanics, Plant Operator, Welding, Carpentry, Fine Woodworking and Electrical trades is preferred.  Candidates must demonstrate the initiative and dedication to provide a quality and motivated learning environment for students and the desire to become a member of a highly motivated Selkirk College team.
This is a casual, on-call and relief position(s) commencing immediately.  Salary will be
Pay Grade 8 - $24.77 in accordance with the PPWC Collective Agreement.
