Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Forklift Operator Certification
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Work Setting: Industrial facility
Type of Equipment: Pallet lifters, Lift trucks and fork-lifts, Hoists or winches, Powered cranes, Dollies and hand trucks, Loaders
Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
Type of Operation: Manual inventory control, Handling of raw materials, Handling of hazardous goods
Specific Skills: Prepare bills of lading, invoices and other shipping documents, Assemble containers and crates, Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, Maintain internal record-keeping system, Record shortages and discard damaged goods, Pack goods to be shipped, Unpack goods received, Affix identifying information and shipping instructions on shipments, Oversee loading and unloading of goods
