Our Retail branded client is looking for a Marketing Assistant with 3+ years of experience in the Retail / FMCG Industry and an understanding of digital and social media marketing. A keen “doer” interest in and knowledge of graphic design, marketing, and media trends, must be able to initiate promotions and marketing nationally from a franchisor perspective to its franchisees. Must be a DOER and not a delegator… (no one to delegate to internally) Company uses outsourced suppliers. Salary: Negotiable.

Minimum Requirements: Matric (Grade 12). An applicable tertiary qualification in Marketing or allied field. 3+ years of proven experience as a Marketing assistant and or Marekting Co-ordinator (Digital and SEO, pomotions). FMCG, Retail and Ad agency experience. Proficiencies in Excel, MS word, Graphic Design programs (illustrator, photoshop, InDesign). Can assist with the calculate of gross profits and markups. Experience in the franchisor/franchisee industry would be an added advantage. Experience with Google Ad campaigns/PPC – SEO.

Job duties: Keep the Marketing & Communications Strategy under review. Update Marketing Strategy Plan on a semi-annual basis or as necessary. Publish digital and social media content on a regular basis. Assist to create a development plan for the company’s website to meet the marketing needs of the Company and its Brand Partners.

Assist with the Marketing and Communications budget. Establish and maintain an accurate and up-to-date CRM database. Work with data from the CRM system to generate user-friendly information for effective direct marketing initiatives. Able to assist within the ongoing development of the online website. Assist Brand Partners with their marketing plans. Implement the Business Accelerator Program with Brand Partners. Implement marketing plans derived from meetings. A good understanding of the broader marketing industry and specifically the industries, sectors within which the Company operates. Experience of supervising outsourced suppliers in a large environment, would be beneficial.
