Shipping Clerk Responsibilities: Working in a small office setting inside a bright, clean warehouse. Send instructions to clearing agents for customs clearing. Track shipments. Follow up for release of shipments. Prepare SARS documents. Verify freight charges. Check customs duty tariff codes. Check duty charges. Check relevant charges on the clearing agent invoice. Bill of lading. Check detention charges. Must have a strong understanding and working knowledge of imports.

Qualifications: Minimum of 6 Month experience as a Shipping Clerk (or similar role). Be able to work independently. Be a dynamic personality who excels in a fast paced and ever changing environment. BE able to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Experience using SAP warehouse system - Not Compusalry but Huge asset! Exceptional organizational skills and detail orientation. Experience communicating with truck drivers and customers. Strong English Communication: Reading, Writing, Verbal. Strong Computer Skills - Proficient with Microsoft Excel & Word.
