Position Summary
Reporting to the Senior Accountant, the Cash Management and Office Manager will be responsible for printing, verifying, adjusting and filing all CanaDream’s location’s daily deposit summaries. He/ she will also collect paperwork for unit sales to distribute to applicable departments, reconcile daily bank activities and perform general ledger entries as required. This individual will also be responsible for ensuring the office runs smoothly by ordering and maintaining office supplies, directing maintenance issues to the appropriate people and partaking in event planning.
Essential Duties and responsibilities
Print and verify all location’s daily deposit summaries and import into Epicor
Record daily bank entries in cash management and the general ledger.
Reconcile bank statements daily
Prepare and post recurring entries
Collect paperwork for unit sales to distribute to various departments
Advise the Senior Accountant when bank transfers are required and when regular monthly payments are due
Contact Moneris or Amex to handle problematic situations and charge backs. Notify appropriate departments when charge backs occur
Provide assistance to accounts payable and other departments when needed
Ensure the employee recognition programs are prepared and evaluated each year
Maintain office supplies and orders when required
Arrange for catering for office and Board Meetings when requested
With direction from the Senior Accountant and assistance from assigned staff, plan and organize events
Arrange for offsite storage when required
Liaise with vendors and obtain quotes for office cleaning and other supplies
Liaise with First Impressions for company clothing inventory orders
Skill set, education and experience
Accounting degree/diploma
3 plus years of cash management experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and Accounting programs
Working knowledge of credit card company processes is an asset
Effective written and oral communication skills
Excellent organizational, strategic, planning and implementation skills
Detailed oriented and the ability to follow through
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
