Carpenter (RESIDENTIAL & COMMERCIAL RENOVATIONS)
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Day
Salary: $28.00 Hourly for 40 hours per week, Mileage Paid, Medical Benefits
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: Area surrounding the city of Calgary, Alberta (1 vacancy)
Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of high school
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Not required
Experience: 5 years or more
Major Work Area: Renovation
Area of Specialization: General carpentry, Finish carpentry, Framing
Specific Skills: Determine specifications and calculate requirements, Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join mouldings, wood materials, drywall and plastics materials, Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware, Build walls and install partitions, Build and install framing for dropped ceilings, counters, indirect lighting, display cases, etc., Install drywall, Install insulation, Build porches and verandas, Build decks and fences, Build and install platforms, scaffolding, ramps and ladders, Operate power tools
Additional Skills: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications
Security and Safety: Criminal record check
Own Tools/Equipment: Tools, Steel-toed safety boots
Work Site Environment: Noisy, Dusty
Transportation/Travel Information: Own transportation, Own vehicle, Valid driver's licence
Work Location Information: Various locations
