What you need on your CV: Minimum of B. Eng/ B. Sc/B-Tech in Electronic Engineering, or similar qualification. Minimum 5 years of proven experience in the relevant field – both hardware and software. Experience in the Power electronics or Electricity/Metering environment will be a great advantage.

Expert in software development/programming in VB and C# (Visual Studio), HTML5, aspx, JavaScript, API functionality, Arduino, and SQL. Expert knowledge in and experience with PCB and circuit Layouts, Design, and component selection is a must. I.e. experience in formal design, development, and embedded software programming of electronic boards and microchips. Experience in ESP boards will be advantageous. A portfolio would be an advantage.

Knowledge of IOT, LoRa, Sigfox, and other communication networks; with communication used in domestic and industrial automation/automated meter reading.

Basic knowledge of networks (LAN & WAN), Microsoft Servers, and PCs. A driver’s license and reliable transport.

What you’ll be doing: Research and development of PCBs and other hardware for communication with smart meters. Integrate PCBs with and programming software/information systems. Do remote debugging/problem-solving with technicians in the field. Maintain and manage information systems, servers, and databases from time to time. Troubleshoot and user support information systems from time to time.
