Weddings and Events Coordinator, Fumage Pty Ltd. Canberra ACT. Reservations (Hospitality & Tourism). Full time. Poachers Pantry is family operated weddings venue, restaurant, smokehouse and vineyard located in the Canberra Region. An exciting opportunity exists for a Weddings and Events Manager to oversee our wedding and events, from time of enquiry (sales) to the planning and delivery of our events. We are looking for someone who is personable, confident and enjoys working with people, particularly couples preparing for their wedding day. Our wedding season runs from September through to May with weddings being held in our marquee and restaurant.

Key responsibilities: Responding to wedding enquiries in a timely manner. Selling weddings, including the initial show around meeting and scheduled planning meetings prior to the wedding or event. Creating wedding and events runsheets. Rostering of the wedding team to ensure wage targets are met. Ordering of stock for weddings. Induction and training of wedding staff. Following established processes and procedures to ensure accurate data capture and communication with customers and the team.

Skills and capabilities: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the hospitality, event or wedding industry. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload during wedding season. Ability to roster using a cloud based rostering system. Ability to work autonomously as well as within a team environment. Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail. Establishing and maintaining a sound working relationship with a variety of vendors and internal management team. Intermediate to advanced computer skills, primarily with Google Workspace and related apps (docs, sheets, drive). Essential criteria and benefits.
