Executive Chef, Best Western Fernie Plus Mountain Lodge. Location 1622 7th Avenue Fernie, BC. Salary 22.00 hourly / 40 hours per week. Full time. Day, Evening, Weekend. Starts as soon as possible. Languages English. Education College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Experience 1 year to less than 2 years. Work setting. Hotel, motel, resort.

Responsibilities: Maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales and inventory. Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food. Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets. Prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions. Consult with clients regarding weddings, banquets and specialty functions. Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards. Supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs and cooks. Credentials. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses. Cook Trade Certification.
