Mobile Software Developer
We are looking for a junior mobile developer to join our team. We are interested in talking to software engineers and software developers who would are interested in a position working for a mobile app agency.
Dactyl works with great companies and organizations to build world-class mobile apps and experiences. We also incubate and release our own apps worldwide with products in the education, entertainment and travel sectors. Apps we have created have been downloaded over a million times in over one hundred countries.
This position would ideally be based out of Victoria or Vancouver.
We have previously hired candidates based on their prior iOS and Android experience. Please note, for that this latest position, we have chosen to focus our hiring criteria based on software development talent, irrespective of prior experience with iOS or Android, in particular.
We are looking for extremely bright individuals who can grow with our team and learn mobile software development from our senior developers.
Qualifications
    Talent for software development as evidenced by prior experience, a computer science, software engineering or related degree, or a portfolio of software that demonstrates excellent programming.
    Some familiarity with the XCode and/or Android Studio and the concept of developing for mobile devices.
    Technical Skills: Objective-C, CoreData, SQL, Java, and Swift are languages and frameworks you will be using on the job. If these are not your current areas of expertise, be able to explain how your current knowledge will relate to quick uptake of these mobile-specific languages and frameworks.
    Self-motivated, with the ability and motivation to work with a team of very talented developers, UI experts, UX designers, and product managers to create great products that people around the world will use.
