About the role: The Integrated Family Services Support Worker provides vital support to the coordinator and team by managing intake tasks for families entering the program. Additionally, the IFS Support Worker assists with client transport, administration, group activities, and other team-identified tasks.
This role ensures timely referral registration into Family Journey, supports group work, and aids case managers in enhancing the safety, stability, and wellbeing of families.
This is a full-time, fixed-term (until June 30th, 2025) opportunity based in Footscray, VIC, within our Family Services Program. The position reports to the Coordinator of Integrated Family Services.
Key Selection Criteria: To be successful in this role, you will have the following minimum qualifications: a diploma in community services or working towards a bachelor of social work. Knowledge of the community services sector, including an understanding of the issues that vulnerable children and families face. Understanding of and commitment to social justice and quality outcomes for children. Demonstrated experience with assisting clients with transportation to appointments when identified to support better outcomes for families.
