Senior Embedded Software Engineer, Codematix Pty Ltd. Sydney NSW. Engineering - Software (Information & Communication Technology). Full time. Up to $180k + super. A leading design company based in Sydney currently require an embedded software engineer to join their dynamic team.

As an experienced embedded software engineer, you'll play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the company's Linux-based deployed sensors, working closely with world-leading RF detection technology. The company has established team across embedded systems, signal processing, RF and ML / AI, working on leading edge safety-critical products for distribution around the world. They have a flat structure and seek an embedded engineer that can offer creative input.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills: 3+ years’ experience with embedded systems / embedded Linux. Linux command line environments. Software development in Python, Modern C++, Golang (two of these languages). Application development with considerations for logging, persistence, security, configuration management, and transactional behavior. Inter-device communication using gRPC, REST, raw TCP/UDP, or other high-performance messaging protocols. Development tools like Git, Jira, Confluence, and CICD. BS degree in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

Desirable Knowledge: Architecture design. Microservice architecture. API design (versioning and documentation). Hardware-in-the-loop CI/CD design. Build systems for embedded devices. SDR / RF.
