About the Role: As the Safety and Compliance Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the organisation meets its safety, compliance, and risk management objectives. Reporting directly to the Director of Safety and Compliance, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the department in consultation with the broader organisation.

Your responsibilities will include managing compliance with organisational policies and legal requirements, conducting risk assessments, coordinating training and inductions, and preparing detailed reports. You will also work closely with various departments to ensure that all activities align with the organisation’s high standards for safety and operational excellence.

About You: To be considered for this opportunity, you will have: A Certificate IV or Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety, or equivalent experience; Strong knowledge and experience in conducting, evaluating, and developing risk assessments; Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other relevant systems; The ability to work independently, achieve objectives, and meet deadlines; A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team; Strong interpersonal skills for consulting and maintaining effective relationships with staff and external partners; (Desirable) Experience in an educational or similar environment; (Desirable) Familiarity with learning management systems and data analytics; and You must also possess, or be eligible to obtain, a current Working with Children Check (Blue Card) for Queensland.
