Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop individualised behaviour support plans. Implement positive behaviour support strategies to help clients manage their behaviour and improve their quality of life. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including support workers, families, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure a holistic approach to client care. Provide training and mentoring to support workers on effective behaviour management techniques. Continuously monitor and evaluate client progress, adapting support plans as needed. Maintain detailed case notes and contribute to the development of client documentation. Participate in regular team meetings and professional development activities.
Requirements: Arabic-speaking therapist (Highly desirable but not necessary). Tertiary qualification in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field. 2 years experience working as a behavior Support Practitioner (Desirable but not necessary). Registration at proficient or core levels of Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner. Experience working in the NDIS sector (Desirable but not necessary). Current Working with children check. Current CPR. Current driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle. NDIS workers screening check (or willing to obtain). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
