Job Details:
Reporting to the Development Manager, CarProof is excited to announce the new position of Junior C# Programmer - Co-op.
You are a computer science specialist, who has been exposed to C# programming, with exceptional communication skills. This is an excellent opportunity for an extremely detail-oriented, organized, people-oriented candidate to excel in, and grow your career.
In addition to the above, interested candidates must be able to articulate effectively, maintain composure and act as trouble-shooters who are passionate about finding solutions to problems. We need someone who thrives on providing quality customer service and satisfaction to our other teams (IT Infrastructure, Sales, Marketing, Finance and Admin).
This co-op position is based in CarProof’s London, Ontario head office and compensation includes base salary commensurate with experience.
Position Responsibilities:
• Rapid application development in C#
• Design and code applications ranging from web services to Windows forms
• Work with systems team to ensure proper rollout strategy and configuration
• Work with development team to define and promote coding best practices
• Perform code maintenance on existing applications
• Work with QA to ensure testing requirements are met
• Write first level technical documentation for applications
Education and experience required:
• Working towards completing a post-secondary degree/diploma in computer science
• Programming and technical computer skills in C#, ASP.NET and Visual Studio
• Excellent time management skills
Key Competencies and Skills:
• Familiarity with C# programming and Microsoft SQL Server
• Outstanding interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Superior organizational and planning skills
• Very adept at problem analysis and the problem solving
• Great team player as well as being able to work alone with no need for micro-management
