Responsibilities: Respond to fire alarms and other calls for assistance. Control and extinguish fires using manual and power equipment. Administer first-aid and other assistance. Maintain firefighting equipment. Participate in cleaning up spills of chemicals and biological agents and other toxic substances. Assist police, the public and emergency organizations during major disasters. Credentials. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses. National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) - level 1. Fire truck driver's license. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate. First Aid Certificate. CPR Certificate. Experience and specialization. Firefighting experience. Volunteer department.
