Croydon Shire is situated just east of the Gulf of Carpentaria in Far North Queensland, approximately 2,200 kilometres by road from Brisbane, the state capital. The Finance Officer position reports to the Finance Manager and is required to efficiently carry out a range of Council’s financial and administrative functions whilst providing a high-level of customer service to members of the public, Government Departments, agencies and statutory authorities. You will provide support to the Manager and assist the other two (2) finance officers as required.  Knowledge of or experience using practice will be highly regarded but not essential.

Position Responsibilities Include: Bank Reconciliation, Payroll, Rates, Job Costings/Plants/Stores, Accounts Payable & Receivable, Business Activity Statement (BAS), General Financial duties and reports.
