The Venue: Byblós was the first restaurant opened by the Ghanem Group 16 years ago, bringing a premium Middle Eastern dining experience to Brisbane. Over the past few months, the space has been beautifully redesigned with plush seating, private dining nooks, and a stunning riverfront alfresco area—perfect for groups and events. It’s a luxurious yet welcoming venue, reopening with a refreshed approach to its menu. From vibrant mezze to hearty mains and refreshing twists on our signature Lebanese lemonade, we’re excited to offer something truly special.

About the Roles: As we gear up for our launch, we are seeking experienced hosts and wait staff to help deliver exceptional front-of-house service! Host: As host, you will be the warm, welcoming face for guests as they enter Byblos, responsible for creating a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. Greet and seat guests, manage inquiries and reservations, and coordinate the seating plan to ensure smooth service flow.

Wait Staff: As a Waiter/Waitress, you will be the primary contact for our guests during their visit, from providing information about the menu, delivering world-class hospitality, to the closing of their bill. You’ll ensure a seamless dining experience and work closely with the Venue Manager and Restaurant manager.

Key Responsibilities: Greet and escort customers to their tables and provide outstanding service throughout their experience. Present menus, provide detailed information about dishes or drinks and make tailored recommendations. Take accurate food and drink orders, serve promptly, and handle transactions smoothly. Prepare tables and keep the dining and bar areas clean and organised.

Communicate order details to the kitchen and ensure that dishes are served correctly and promptly.

Uphold health and safety standards, including food and beverage regulations.

What We’re Looking For All FOH staff must have a current RSA. At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within a busy restaurant environment. Proven work experience as a Waiter/Waitress or Host. Hands-on experience with POS systems, excellent organisational skills, and the ability to multitask. Strong communication skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work well in a team.
