QUALIFICATIONS
To support our ongoing growth, we are seeking a highly motivated Web Developer and Graphics Designer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in designing for the industry.
This position is for the self-directed, technologically inspired artist who sees the power of visual communication in every aspect of the world around us. The individual must plan, organize, and work well in a team environment. Projects will range from marketing, branding and promotion of our company through social media, printed and electronic advertising imagery, through to supporting front-end web development and SaaS technologies. Other projects include brochures, posters, flyers, print advertising, tradeshow displays, executive summaries, and other materials as needed.
As a Web Developer and Graphics Designer, you will have a lot on your plate. This is a great opportunity to witness your work go live with Fortune 500 accounts and some of the biggest brands in the world.
• Education in Graphic Design or Multimedia design and production
• Education in front end development or 1 year front end development experience in industry
• 3 or more years of Graphic Design experience
• Excellent Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign skills
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite 6 (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat), Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Proficient in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
• Experience designing and building for mobile and the responsive web
• Strong understanding of typography, layout and printing
• Highly motivated, creative and innovative self-starter
• Proficient in the English language with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are a must… SERIOUSLY.
• Experience with Visual Studio, and C# an asset
• Experience with SaaS or other preprocessors an asset
• Experience designing and building websites with bootstrap an asset
• Experience with Flexbox an asset
• Experience with SEO optimization & social media marketing an asset
• Experience with information architecture, content strategy and UI wire framing an asset
