UI / Front End Developer
9Shot Golf Innovations is looking for a talented UI / Front End Developer to play a key role in bringing awesome products to life. We're now building an online lesson platform that will revolutionize the way people learn golf. RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Work closely with the UX and dev teams to improve existing features, and build new ones.
• Expanding your knowledge of technology standards, industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development best practices.
• Assisting in the development of tools and utilities to fulfill the company’s operational and organizational needs.
• Organize and prioritize tasks with regards to project deadlines.
• Maintain existing client sites by troubleshooting changes, updates and bug fixes.
• Passion for the quality of work you produce, and you're self-motivated to spot ways to improve it.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, flexible, and have a strong customer service ethic. A developer at heart, you are able to code highly usable front ends, and you also have immense respect for end-user experience and pixel perfection.
• You live and breathe CSS & HTML and love the challenge of writing efficient, responsive and semantic markup. Did we mention responsive?
• 3+ years of experience in front-end development
• You are well versed with the ins and outs of Sass or Less preprocessors (we use Sass at 9Shot).
• You can take initiative and able to create new approaches to problems.
• You have a natural eye for minimal design and good composition, and you obsess about details, interactions, and delighting users.
• You are likable and fun to be around.
Nice to have:
• You have hands-on experience with client-side Javascript frameworks like Angular, Ember or Backbone.
• You have experience with common back-end frameworks (eg Yii, Symfony, PHP/Zend or others).
• You have User experience (UX) skills and experience.
• Portfolio of relevant work.
• Contributions to the online community through sites like Dribbble, CodePen, GitHub, etc
