Active Support Australia is seeking motivated support workers to work across shifts that can include weekends.

Support Workers needed for GoldCoast Area: The available shifts are Bundall QLD 4217. 9am to 5pm (day shift). 5pm to 9am (Sleepover). 10:30am to 3pm (community participation). Arundel QLD 4214

10am to 3pm (community participation). Surfers Paradise QLD 4217. 2pm to 6pm (in-home/community participation). Open to experienced staff and those entering the industry. The Role: Provide compassionate, high-quality care. Assistance with medication. Assistance with psychosocial support, appointments, and domestic tasks such as cleaning and cooking. Personal Care. Monitoring the well-being of clients and reporting on their progress. Community access activities. Full-time equivalent casual regular hours for the right candidate.

Have the capacity to meet the physical requirements of the job that may include manual handling tasks. Committed to helping others live their best lives. Experienced in general housekeeping and cleaning duties. Able to follow procedures and ensure the clients’ personal preferences are adhered to. Confident communicator who can maintain professional boundaries with clients and their families.

Essentials: Available for day and night shifts. Fully Covid-19 Vaccinated as per QLD Government Regulations. Current driver’s license & mobile phone. A Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent disability-related qualifications. Current First Aid/CPR Certificate. Current Working with Children Blue Card. Current and satisfactory Criminal History Check or a National Police Certificate (or willing to obtain). Current yellow card or NDIS worker screening check.

Desirable: Experience with any of the following: mental health, dysphagia management, personal care, medication management, lifting/manual handling, and nursing support.
