Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated drum teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in teaching multiple instruments, capable of taking on leadership roles, and knowledgeable in recording and editing basics. Familiarity with Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs), specifically Ableton, is favourable. Whether you are a young schoolleaver, working your way through a CIT or university music qualification, a graduate musician, or simply wanting to share your musical skill, you are encouraged to apply!

The ideal candidate will be available: for 2-3 days per week, between the hours of 3:30 p.m. and 9 p.m., Wednesday to Friday, starting in late Jan 2025.

We are seeking people who are passionate musicians—you gain great fulfilment from playing and you are excited about music! Passionate about music education and teaching. Positive, well-tempered, patient, and kind. Hard-working, competent, and responsible. Able to continuously learn and grow as a teacher and musician. Have a current Working with Vulnerable People Card or be willing to apply for one.

Key responsibilities include (training provided): teaching individual music lessons across multiple instruments, or just drum kit. Utilizing recording and editing techniques in lessons. Working with digital audio workstations, specifically Ableton. Maintaining a flexible teaching schedule, including day and evening hours. Building and maintaining a student base with the support of the academy. Catering lessons to each individual student as appropriate. Developing a positive teacher-student relationship and encouraging students to pursue their goals at a suitable pace. Problem-solving issues that arise with maturity and understanding. Keeping the teaching room tidy and respecting the space. Learning and accurately following procedures regarding provision of teaching materials, curriculum, rewards, appropriate conduct, etc.
