Job Description: Reporting to the Divisional CFO and managing a large team of 12+, this hands-on role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end accounting function for the division. You will also be pivotal to the delivery of all reporting and will work with business leaders to identify and lead a number of business improvement initiatives to drive margin & growth.
This role requires an experienced individual who is motivated to create a best-in-class finance function.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, month-end closing, accruals, and accounting processes. Lead the business partnering function for the division, provide insights on business stream financial performance, and explain variances to budgets/forecasts. Be a trusted advisor to the operational general managers to implement and drive strategic initiatives by providing financial support and decision-making and building strong relationships. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow. Oversight of the AP/AR function, working collaboratively with customers to drive improvements and bring about working capital improvements. Ensure all regulatory payments and reporting are completed within deadlines. Work on continuous improvement and special projects.
Qualifications: What you’ll need: Hands-on corporate accounting experience: budgeting, forecasting, month-end, and P&L management & reporting. Proven experience in leading a team. CPA qualified. Demonstrated capacity to drive process and systems improvement. High attention to detail, with a successful working knowledge of policy, regulations, contractual requirements, and risk. Self-motivated to drive improvements and develop the team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to break down complex matters for all stakeholders.
