Small Tools Mechanic. Fetch Recruitment. Yatala, Gold Coast QLD. Automotive Trades (Trades & Services). Contract/Temp: AUD 90000 - 100000 per hour. Due to rapid business growth, one of our clients is looking for a small tools mechanic to join their Yatala branch.

The small tools mechanic will be responsible for the service, repair, troubleshooting, and operational efficiency of all construction hire equipment. It will be primarily a workshop-based role, but some construction site work will be required from time to time for urgent repairs, troubleshooting, or maintenance.

Duties: Provide basic scheduled and unscheduled services to small tools and equipment (filters, pull cords, etc.), tool and equipment repairs, and rebuilds. Maintain a high standard & quality of tools and equipment. Assist with troubleshooting equipment over the phone or in person. Assist and conduct basic yard duties, including cleaning, organising, relocating equipment, Receiving of spare parts and other r incendiaries. Maintain equipment records electronically or in hard copy. Be able to do basic servicing to 2-stroke engines, Kubota equipment, Perkins equipment, etc.

You will be working on various tools and equipment such as light towers. Generators. Fuel filters. Small engines – mowers, line trimmers. Pumps. Etc.

Your background Experience in maintaining plant equipment, small tools and maintenance around the depot, Ideally come with mechanic qualifications (LV, Mobile Plant, Heavy Vehicle, etc.). Mechanically minded, experience in a warehouse & basic welding, White Card—Construction Industry & ideally a Forklift license, Sound knowledge of WHS, Current drivers license.

This role will predominantly be Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day, but some overtime will be required.

The role will be casual for the initial 6-month probation with scope for it to transition to full-time employment.
