About Our Client: We are recruiting on behalf of a leading residential construction company in Brisbane, renowned for delivering high-quality projects while maintaining a strong commitment to safety. Our client is looking for a proactive and experienced safety manager to join their dynamic team and lead safety initiatives across all construction sites.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop & Implement Safety Programs: Create, execute, and maintain robust safety policies and procedures that comply with Queensland and Australian regulations.

Site Inspections & Audits: Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to ensure all operations meet the highest safety standards.

Training & Development: Organize and deliver safety training for all staff and subcontractors, fostering a culture of safety throughout the organization.

Incident Management: Lead investigations into accidents and near-misses, compile comprehensive reports, and implement effective corrective actions.

Regulatory Compliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of safety legislation to ensure full compliance with all relevant legal and industry requirements.

Performance Monitoring: Track safety performance metrics and prepare regular reports for senior management, driving continuous improvement.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, site supervisors, and external regulatory bodies to integrate safety into every project phase.

Qualifications & Experience: A tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related discipline. A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a safety management role within the construction industry. Comprehensive knowledge of Queensland and Australian workplace safety legislation and standards. A proven track record in developing and implementing successful safety programs.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
