Responsibilities: Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered. Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements. Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding. Prepare flooring plans and schedule. Measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors. Measure, cut, and install resilient floor coverings. Prepare and install hardwood floors. Estimate costs and materials. Prepare floors for installations. Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants. Install carpeting on walls or other surfaces. Perform direct glue-down carpet installations. Perform double-bond carpet installations. Install outdoor carpets. Install materials on counter tops and raised platforms. Install vinyl decking materials. Experience and specialization. Installation specialization. Vinyl or resilient tiles. Vinyl or resilient sheets. Ceramic tiles. Marble tiles. Hardwood intricate patterns flooring.
