About the role: The Learning & Development Coordinator - D&ES is responsible for providing ongoing training, learning and development opportunities for all D&ES staff, that boosts morale, strengthen employee engagement, and increases employee retention. The position will empower our workforce with the knowledge and skills to achieve the organisations current and future business objectives, deliver high quality services and meet consumer/stakeholder expectations. Working collaboratively with the D&ES Leadership Team to plan, organise, and deliver the D&ES Induction and Training Programs. You are expected to be a leading internal and external example of our values in action; collaboration, compassion, empowerment, hope, innovation, participation, respect and responsiveness.
The role operates with a high degree of autonomy with appropriate consultation with the Senior Leadership Group (SLG), Practice Leaders, Coordinators, Principal Therapeutic Practices, Operations Director and Managing Director, as required. Essential Criteria – Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Value-Add. Qualifications in Education, Training and/or Human Resources (Preferred). Proven experience in designing multiple training events in a corporate setting (Preferred). Solid understanding of Disability and Employment Services, particularly Workforce Australia and/or equivalent services.
Sound knowledge of instructional design theory and adult learning principles, including understanding of traditional and modern training methods, tools and techniques. Proven ability to build rapport and maintain effective relationships with participants, peers and relevant agencies/stakeholder. Proven ability to present complex information to a variety of audiences. Supportive of a values-based culture, operating environment and workplace diversity.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite / Office 365 and HRM systems. Excellent prioritisation, time and project management ability with a strong emotional intelligence, and calmness when operating in dynamic care environments. Ability to assist leadership to coordinate and promote a high performing multi-disciplined therapeutic practice environment with high Standards of Care, Quality Assurance and Risk Management. Working with Children Check compliance, AFP clearance and a current unrestricted driver’s licence.
