Responsibilities: Book appointments. Cut and trim hair according to the client's instructions or preferences. Provide custom hair and scalp treatment. Shampoo customers' hair. Provide other hair treatments, such as waving, straightening, and tinting, and also provide scalp-conditioning massages. Apply bleach, tints, dyes, or rinses to color, frost, or streak hair. Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm, and style hair. Suggest a hairstyle compatible with the client's physical features and preferences. Perform receptionist duties. Maintain and order supplies. Credentials. Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses. Hairstylist License. Experience and specialization. Hair styling techniques. Blow-drying. Hair braiding. Iron waving/curling. Twisting. Roller setting. Hair coloring techniques. Bleach. Dyes/tints. Streaking/highlights.
