About the role: Are you ready to launch your career in medical physics with hands-on experience and expert guidance? This exciting opportunity offers you the chance to complete the Training, Education, and Accreditation Program (TEAP) through the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM), specializing in nuclear medicine physics. You’ll be part of a dedicated team supporting medical imaging across SA Medical Imaging (SAMI) sites, playing a key role in advancing patient care through science and technology.
In this role, you’ll assist in delivering high-quality medical physics and radiation safety support, while also contributing to quality control, radiation dose optimization, and audit activities. You’ll be involved in maintaining compliance with radiation legislation and supporting research and teaching initiatives in line with SAMI’s objectives. About You: You are a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for medical physics and a keen interest in developing your career through structured training. Your strong communication skills and analytical mindset will help you thrive in a collaborative and fast-paced healthcare environment. Strong communication and teamwork— Able to communicate effectively with all levels of hospital staff and work both independently and as part of a team.
Highly organized and proactive—skilled at prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and showing initiative in problem-solving.
Analytical and research-driven—capable of conducting analyses, preparing reports, formulating recommendations, and delivering clear presentations. Foundational knowledge and eagerness to learn— Understanding of radiation physics and a strong commitment to developing your expertise through the TEAP program.
